Work logs are a simple way for users to log work they are completing. With a couple of taps they can start a timer running and end it when the work is complete. They can be used to record shifts, tasks, or other work-related activities.
Work logs can be enabled by Organisation admins and they can be accessed via the side navbar or they can be assigned a place as one of the four navigation links displayed at the top of the screen on the web or in the app navigation tray.
A work log can be started immediately or created up to one week in the past. Work logs allow a user to record the actual start and end times, and the planned start and end times, this allows for situations where there is a delay in starting the planned work, such as restocking a vehicle or traffic.
Work logs can be linked to a specific department, at which point they will also appear in the department work log screen available for department admins. If a department is selected then a work partner from the same department can be added. Both the creator and work partner can edit a work log.
Organisation admins can view all work logs within their organisation. They can filter work logs within that view and export to a CSV file.
Plain text notes and pictures can be added to a work log.
Work logs are displayed in three categories:
- currently in progress,
- completed within the past seven days, and
- older work logs, which are marked as archived.
If a work log is in progress there is a button to mark it as finished, without the user needing to go in and set the finish time manually. The associated work partner they can also perform this action. Ending a work log does so for both the creator and the work partner.
