Surveys are a flexible way for organisations to collect feedback from their users. Survey admins can target a survey to a specific audience within their organisation and see responses and analytics in real time.
Survey Creation
Surveys can be created by survey admins. There is no limit to the length of a survey and they support wide range of question types.
Currently supported question types are:
- text questions,
- a single answer selected from a list,
- multiple answers selected from a list,
- a likert scale, and a smile rating scale.
Questions can also be marked as required or optional, and a description of the question may be given to add additional context.
Custom routing can be added to single choice questions so that some questions can be skipped based on answers given.
Surveys can saved as a draft and scheduled with a future publish date. On this date the survey will be automatically published for access, they can be published early from the admin panel.
Surveys can be given a set date to expire limiting the duration which they accept responses.
A survey admin can choose if a notification should be sent to alert users that a survey is available and reminders to complete the survey can be configured. Reminders will only be sent to users who have not yet completed the survey in question.
Surveys can be published to organisations as a whole or to individual sites and departments as desired.
Organisation admins can choose to update the main navigation links to include a link to the survey page is they want to draw additional attention to the surveys section, perhaps while an important survey is available for completion.
Viewing Surveys
When the user clicks on a survey notification, they are taken straight to the survey. They can also navigate to the survey from the menu.
Surveys are filtered as ‘Available’, ‘In Progress’, and ‘Completed’. In the ‘Completed’ section a user is able to view their completed surveys, but at this time they are not able to view their previous answers.
Survey Completion
Surveys can be answered on the web or mobile apps. Currently all survey responses are anonymous. Surveys do not have to be completed in one sitting and the Ryalto app will save a user’s progress if they leave the survey unfinished.
In survey questions it is made clear to users that they will not be able to return to previous questions after submitting their answers.
Survey Results
Results can be viewed in the app and exported as a .csv. The results page in Ryalto app provides an overview of the survey as a whole, with some generated diagrams and tables, and more specific data can be found for each question. Results are updated live in the UI.
